Background
This is a case of a 36-year-old woman presenting with pain in the left lower abdomen, with a feeling of “something hanging” in the abdomen. Her periods were normal with regular bleeding.
Diagnosis
She was diagnosed with a posterior wall fibroid measuring 7.5 x 7.3 cm, and was suggested surgery.
Besides the fibroid, she also complained of piles, skin tags, and irregular bowel movements. There was a peculiar saddle-shaped rash on her face as well.
On an emotional level, she would feel bad and weep if she was scolded or reprimanded. She also displayed anger, especially when she was wrongly blamed.
She decided to give Homeopathy a try before going under the knife.
Our Treatment
We prescribed the homeopathic remedy Sepia, after due consideration of her physical and mental symptoms.
In her very first follow-up 15 days later, she reported a 60% reduction in abdominal pain and improved bowel movements.
She continued improving in her symptoms over 2 months, after which we suggested her to repeat a
sonography. The fibroid size had reduced from 7.5 x 7.3 cm to 6.8 x 6.5 cm
